Counting Down my iTunes Play Count (VANITY) -- Day #49

Day #49 of the Top 50 songs on my iTunes playlist -- ranked in reverse order by play frequency from #50 to #1 and presented here on a series of FR threads. Pinging to those from the previous threads. We are seeing some epic classics at the top of the list. Bob Seger is the only one to show up THREE times, and this one is easily his best (in my humble opinion).

This guy's music catalog is like the soundtrack of America.

Today's song definitely takes me back to my youth--high school days when a good make-out session on a Friday night was part of growing up. I certainly had my share of "Night Moves" back then and have always loved this song!

I love the way the music dwindles down to just a few strums on the guitar and Mr. Seger is awakened by the sound of thunder. It's the "autumn closing in..." line that gets me. I know it's open for interpretation, but it's always felt like it carried so much weight...a transition from youth into adulthood.
