Sorry but what the heck kind of useless image viewing system is that? I can see one paragraph and cannot scroll. Please don’t use this system going forward.
For me, this comes up as a tab in my browser. Chapter 17 pgs 545-579. It’s a PDF document shown in an Adobe reader that seems to be embedded in Microsoft Outlook (PC).
I don’t profess to have kept up with Project 2025. My impression is that it was independent from Trump. Democrats tried smear Trump with Project 2025. Trump distanced himself from Project 2025.
Ok. None of this means that there is anything wrong with Project 2025. Trump and team are free to look at it and put it to good use.
I have yet to read this chapter. I look forward to reactions here at FR!
Try clicking on the link. I hope that works for you.
I read about half of it 400-500 pages and was highlighting passages with the expectation of summarizing it in Excel format for Freepers, but I found there was no way for me to go back and get the highlighted areas without reading it again, so I ran out of time.
My desire to do that was the many Freepers who seemed to buy into the MSM narrative that Project 2025 was evil, sexist, and racist, and a blueprint for, as they like to characterize it, “an existential threat to democracy” and I wanted to present a summary of the salient points for discussion.
In my reading of Project 2025, I found it to be no “existential threat” to anything but Leftism were it adopted lock, stock and barrel.
I think Trump did it a disservice by his early comments, since I am pretty sure that he is more familiar with it now, given the things I hear him saying. But I don’t care, as long as he and his team look at it and include its suggestions as possible alternatives to the governance of this country.
I thought there were many good, commonsense things in it.
“ (or read the link…first few pages) “
💯
The radical democrat party in charge now saw it as an opportunity to smear Trump. They probably realized it was so long their mostly stupid and brainwashed (I mean that) majority would not check up by reading it.
Not my idea but someone made a very good point. Project 2025 made a cardinal sin. They didn’t create a “handbook” or “easy reader” version for the masses to use.
BTW
Im getting close to page 600 or 2/3 through.
That was one of my biggest (internal) criticisms as I read it...that there was little in the form of a consistent framework in which ideas were presented. There were obviously a few guidelines that had been set out by the Heritage Foundation, but I didn’t find they were followed uniformly or in a useful way.
That really put the kibosh on a summary that didn’t make it an entirely new project past reading it.
Someone did make the excellent suggestion that I might feed it into ChatGPT to summarize (Not explain-the would be a disaster IMO, since I don’t trust AI to do that reliably yet) but I never got around to it.
By the way-just to be clear-do you impression of it to mine (NOT evil, unless you are a Leftist)?
Ohh I agree completely. It’s not evil at all, unless you are a leftist.
For example I’d say the one guiding theme of 2025, so far, is to reduce the sheer SIZE of government.
I could not tell you how many dozens of times they have suggesting eliminating or reducing and merging this or that department or sub department with another. Dept of Ed is the most prominent example.
The evil democrats in power now want an all reaching, all powerful and large Nanny State that tells us what to do from cradle to grave. ‘It takes a Village’ you know…as one Harridan said.
Agreed.
By the way, I believe in the meaning of words, and sometimes, even though there may be ten words to describe a certain thing in a certain context, I believe there is always one word or phrase that fits better than all the others.
In your post, it was the usage of the term “Harridan”!
