The Department of Justice is removing Jack Smith as special counsel and dropping his two federal investigations into President-Elect Donald Trump following Trump’s dominant win in Tuesday’s election.

I like that. And in the pardons he can list the crimes he is pardoning them for. There’s no chance of convicting them in the Washington DC District Court anyway, might as well have some fun with it.
“I see mass firings at the DOJ in ten weeks.”
From your mouth to God’s ear. Time to redesign the guillotine.
This just means he gets to shred and burn all documents before Trump takes over.
Justice department guidelines have no bearing on the plenary power that a president has to issue pardons. That power to pardon federal crimes is unlimited in the constitution.
Hey Jack, you can run, you can hide, but I just wonder what kind of federal charges can be filed since you were not appointed to do the job?
Surely it will be your first option :). I would love to see her go down.
That would be cheered by Rat Party hacks. "First female President"! "First female of color President"! And it would allow her to pardon The Big Guy himself.
Biden and Obama are scared to death and they are trying to herd supporters but Trump isn’t going to play patty cake with evil any more.
in the rare event a battery failed, the chain of command to include the Group Commander was relieved on the spot. That pucker factor, the fear of being fired is missing in our government today.
By the time I led my last exercise, had plenty of experience, and success as a Platoon Leader to be fearless. Failure just didn’t play into my job, but I felt the pucker factor at those outbriefings.
it was powerful. During a temporary assignment six months later, I had an 18 year old MP who hadn’t been paid for six weeks. After hearing the runaround my NCOs had heard, I was angry. So I had my clerk call the Group Commnder, who wasn’t pleased to be talking to me…lol.
After explaining the reason for my call, I added “BTW Colonel, it was a pleasure meeting you at the outbriefing for the B 5/6 NSI. I was the augmentation leader for that NSI.”
At that moment, the tenor changed: “LT, how are you doing?” He put a Jeep on the road that afternoon, OUR soldier received his paychecks the following day.
My guess is DOJ will drop Trump cases asap hoping that the courts will throw in the towel claiming pending considerations before the court are moot.
Confirmation that this whole circus was purely political.
Well it was all political but it’s still mute now. The DOJ cannot prosecute the POTUS. The cases won’t get to trial before inauguration so there’s no sense continuing them.
The civil cases may continue, as we saw with Clinton. The state criminal cases will have to wait until 2029 and may be barred by rule trying to prosecute a 10 year old case.
Judging by your handle, thanks for your service. My tour in Germany was spent at Hahn and Spangdahlem, my Battalion had the short range air defense responsibilities for those ABs and Bitburg. That was truly good fortune!
Tar and Feather the bastard.
Nothing to see here. Move along. What lawfare? I don’t see any lawfare.
Probably going to hide out in Brussels or Switzerland where he can’t be extradited and be a thorn in Trump, and America’s, side as the globalist attack dog at the ICC and UN.
The DOJ is offering up their sacrificial lamb along with the “he did it”.
In this case, a sacrificial rat.
The DOJ top brass should realize at this point that Trump is not a fool who just lucked up. Trump knows that you can not go after an ex president and the most popular man in America without the full approval and help from the top brass.
These are the same evil people that have ruined even he most innocent accidental J-6 victims.
I hope they get what the deserve.
I am betting that a lot of phones and laptops will have issues in the next few months. Emails will get lost.
Merrick should have an orange jumpsuit for the rest of his life
