"the Taurid swarm contains fewer large asteroids than anticipated, suggesting a lower threat level." Unfortunately, it doesn't take a very large asteroid to ruin your entire day.

“How Dangerous Is the “Doomsday” Asteroid Swarm?”
Very dangerous. Star Trek covered this possibility, but thankfully that civilization had a ‘zapper’...although the zapper was starting to fail. The civilization was lucky that the Enterprise made it there before they were toast.

So the asteroids are less of a threat. Now they tell me, after I spent all that money on suits of armor for my family. Here I am, ready to do some yard work.

Oh, well. I guess I could use the armor should I ever visit New York City.

You're going to die, I'm going to die. Everybody is going to die. But probably not today and probably not from asteroid.

It is only less dangerous when it doesn’t land on your head.
