He was granted immunity in exchange for a limited confession, and kept all his frills and prestige until Maggie Thatcher outed him. In short, a deep stater.
Tim Walz says “hold my beer.”
If true?
Speaking of Russian spies, recently watched a good Russian series about Richard Sorge, although I was disappointed to learn the series made up the story about his Japanese mistress betraying him, which was not the truth. He wasn’t betrayed by her, but another member of his Tokyo ring.

Currently reading Spycatcher by former MI5 official Peter Wright who worked on getting Blunt to spill his guts. It’s an older book.
Spies are overrated. In the grand scheme of things he made no difference as both the nazis and soviets lost. Our spies only spy on us. They’ll find out the Chicoms are gonna lose too and pigs like Walz will be outed.
Blunt was actually the last person in the world who would have wanted to live in the Soviet Union. He came from a privileged background and became the director of the Courtauld Institute of Art. He lived in a luxury apartment at the Institute, free of charge, and hobnobbed with the aristocracy. Like just about all lefties, he was a hypocrite who cared little about his fellow man.
I wonder if he was friends with Kim Philby.
Blunt was bad. He supplied the Russians with a lot of human intelligence - which can be just as valuable as military intelligence.
But my number #1 worst spies were Kim Philly, Robert Hansen and George Blake.
“.. most dangerous spy in history.”
An exaggerated unsupported claim. Anthony Blunt was detected years earlier than Phillby whose treason could also not be measured.
You should have labeled this a VANITY post.
