Immunocompromised people who are age 65 or older should get a second dose of the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine, according to the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In a statement released Wednesday, the CDC said the second dose should be received six months after the first dose.
The CDC also said its recommendations allow for flexibility for those who are moderately or severely immunocompromised to consider additional doses (three or more). in consultation with their health care provider.
Similar to previous seasons, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that all Americans ages 6 months and older get a shot of the updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine to protect against another expected surge of the virus this fall and winter.
Still, as another fall virus season approaches, not everyone is following the CDC's advice.

Isn’t the covid vaccine still experimental? I don’t recall it being formally approved by the FDA.
I do not find the idea of cancer appealing. And I have known far to many people who took the jab who suddenly have cancer.
But you go right ahead.
Have a nice day now!
Need to get the Social Security and Medicare population down.
I got all my vaccines in 1960 so, thanks, I’m good.
Get as many doze’s as you can... BTW... There is a growing movement of maskers and vaxxers who are trying their best to drum up another lockdown... They liked the last one so much, and many of them haven’t left their caves since then for fear of catching the common cold. It’s an actual ‘organized’ movement... So beware... They’re ‘out there’.
DO NOT...get shot. RIP DG. RIP DF. Condolences to families and friends of the innocent who were murdered.
CDC ceased being a medical benefit when it turned to politicism using its control and regulatory power to implement Democrat will. Allowing FDA to bypass normally drug testing regimes, lying about mask efficacy, lying about what a vaccine really is and then having to change the definition to suit what that mRNA Covid concoction is, and continually working to increase inoculations even in the face of multiple unexplained deaths. Criminals.
There’s that number again…
Immunocompromised individuals are precisely the people who should not be getting covid shots. Even a healthy immune system will have trouble with all of the spike proteins.
I’m over 65 and if the CDC recommends it, I refuse to take it.
Because "they" said it would reduce your symptoms and keep you out of the hospital. F___ that. Never-vaxxer myself, had it 2X at ages 66 and 67. 2 initial days of malaise and eventual temporary loss of taste.
F NO!
“Why do they hate us?”
I never got a first dose. How am I still alive and kicking at 70?
