NBC's Hallie Jackson faced a torrent of backlash for her persistent line of questioning during an interview with Kamala Harris on Tuesday.

NBC's Hallie Jackson faced a torrent of backlash for her persistent line of questioning during an interview with Kamala Harris on Tuesday.

Harris repeatedly shut down the question, appearing to not take it seriously.

'I'm not going to get into those hypotheticals,' she replied. 'I'm focused on the next 14 days.'

The anchor pressed Harris, claiming that there are some who claim a pardon might unify the country and 'help us move on.'

Harris shot back: 'Let me tell you what will help us move on – I get elected president of the United States.'

Some on social media were outraged that NBC would speculate about a possible pardon for the former president.

'Hallie Jackson where do you start and or get off even asking a question about pardons?!!! How about accountability first!' on user on X posted in ire of the question posed to the VP.

'Plus, do you actually think a pardon will 'heal' the nation?' they added.

Another wrote: 'OMG what a horrible interview conducted by Hallie Jackson. Seriously you call yourself a reporter. To ask about giving A CONVICTED Felon a pardon for the purposes of bringing this country together. SERIOUSLY WTF wrong with you. you're not a serious reporter.'

"To ask about giving A CONVICTED Felon a pardon"

He is NOT a convicted felon until the appeals process is over.

Harris gives interviews but never answers any questions.

This interview sounds like "must see" TV!

Usually Karmala's interviews are sycophantic puff pieces.

Half of this nation is nuts. The leftists are upset that the interviewer asked a legitimate question and wasn’t nazi enough for them.

Not correct. One is convicted when the court passes sentence. Trump is not yet convicted because he has not been sentenced.

Back to “what does the cow say”? “What does 2+0 equal”? “What color is a blue jay”?

First off, it’s way too early to talk about giving Biden a pardon.

Two, wonder what Hallie looks like in bikini?

A black man accused of raping a white woman in the old Jim Crow south had a better chance of getting a fair trial than Trump did in NYC. The Biden-Harris lawfare RICO conspiracy was a gross abuse of judicial power and an indictment of the communist attitudes of Democrats. I hope the next Republican congress impeaches Biden.

First question should have been “will you commit to certifying the election and an orderly transfer of power if Trump wins?”

You are both wrong. A criminal trial has three possible outcomes: conviction, acquittal, or mistrial. Trump was convicted. That conviction could get reversed on appeal, but until that happens he is convicted. Sentencing is pending, but that’s irrelevant.

We aren’t lefties. We are better than this; we don’t need untruths to promote our candidates and I refuse to do so. Trump was convicted - his “crime” was recording payments made to his lawyer as legal expenses. That’s it. The left will lie and say it was for “hush money”, but that isn’t illegal. It also was a felony because he supposedly did so to influence the election. Again that’s a lie since the payments were made and recorded after the election.

Trump is a convicted person.

“convict...to prove or declare guilty of an offense”
my dictionary

I don’t believe Trump is a felon. I consider the use of the term felon in regard to Trump as defamatory.

Retire if you can.

Don’t overwork yourself to build wealth that the nasty Jamaican Communist and her fellow travelers can take away.

Make sure your younger loved ones learn a skill another country would want and a foreign language.

we let communists take control of our schools, media, universities and government agencies. Frankly, it’s amazing that 50% of Americans are NOT communists at this point.

“Impeachment is a farce which will not be tried again.” —Thomas Jefferson to William B. Giles, 1807. ME 11:191

“We have... [required] a vote of two-thirds in one of the Houses for removing a judge; a vote so impossible where any defense is made before men of ordinary prejudices and passions, that our judges are effectually independent of the nation. But this ought not to be. I would not indeed make them dependent on the Executive authority, as they formerly were in England; but I deem it indispensable to the continuance of this government that they should be submitted to some practical and impartial control, and that this, to be impartial, must be compounded of a mixture of state and federal authorities.” —Thomas Jefferson: Autobiography, 1821. ME 1:120

“It has long been my opinion, and I have never shrunk from its expression,... that the germ of dissolution of our Federal Government is in the constitution of the Federal Judiciary—an irresponsible body (for impeachment is scarcely a scare-crow), working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief over the field of jurisdiction until all shall be usurped from the States and the government be consolidated into one. To this I am opposed.” —Thomas Jefferson to Charles Hammond, 1821. ME 15:331
