Rest in peace Paul, you'll be sorely missed.
His divorce lawyer is especially mournful
Not every rocker has the constitution of Keith Richards.
Too many Wasted Years.
Rest In Peace, Paul.
“Killers” hooked me in when I was 15 in 1980 and they’ve been a mainstay ever since then.
I don’t know what his ailments were, but there is a very unsettling photo of his lower extremities at the link.....not good at all.
RIP
Heavy life, heavy toll.
If I remember correctly, Mr. Di‘Anno had been suffering from alcoholism for a long time.
RIP, Mr. Di‘Anno🙁
And Cocainism.
I’m around your age and had never really given them a listen. Went to a record store over the weekend and found their first four albums on remastered CDs at a reasonable price, so I picked them up. Totally hooked now.
Somebody dialed the number of the beast! Me? I’m running for the hills.
It is a shame, fan of Iron Maiden here too.
First big concert I went to as a teenager was Judas Priest with Iron Maiden opening for them. I think Iron Maiden was touring on the release of ‘The Number of The Beast’ and Judas Priest was touring on (I think) ‘Screaming For Vengeance’. Both were amazing, remain a fan today. I’d have to check my ticket stubs on when it was but also saw Iron Maiden later headline with a massive stage show.
One of the things I remember at that first JP/IM concert was people outside the venue handing out copies of the New Testament and imploring on megaphones NOT to go in there. Still a Christian to this day, in spite of a giant inflatable Eddie glaring at me.
RIP, mate.. d:^)
Keith likely didn’t take a Covid shot, a shot or two of Hennessey, yes.
The release of the Covid ‘vaccine’ in 2021 would not have improved his health problems.
Enjoy your new Strange World Paul. Rest in Peace sir.
I think that most who objected to Iron Maiden didn’t give their music a critical listen. WWI Battlrs, Frontier Wars, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Feast of Balshezzar, etc. etc. Iron Maiden covers a lot of ground.
I was a bigger fan of the music made with Bruce, but there is no denying that Paul made some good music with Iron Maiden.
I know that Bruce Dickenson has pi$$ed all over the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but the band with both Dianno and Dickinson should definitely be in there.
