Browns’ Deshaun Watson in tears as he’s carted off with apparent Achilles injury

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was carted off the field and in tears after sustaining an apparent Achilles injury on a non-contact play during Cleveland’s game against the Bengals on Sunday.

With the Browns driving and facing a second-and-6, Watson took the snap, hesitated and pivoted up the middle on a designed run before crumpling to the field.

This is terrible - it lets that scoundrel, Jimmy Haslam off the hook.

I feel sorry for the coach, though. He was forced to play Watson, no matter what, and he was also forced to say he's not be forced to start him. Plus, he would be eventually fired for doing what they say.

Sad for Watson, but good news for suffering Browns fans.

Watson knows it’s likely the end of his career

I don't know if it's good news for the Browns.

Watson has two years left on one of the worst contracts in NFL history.

I'm not sure there was any chance of trading him (by offering another team picks to take him). But, if there was, there is even less of chance of doing so now.

I can’t be mean to the man and call him DiddSean anymore.

But a well paid end of his career. Minus the lawsuits.

I don’t like to hear of players getting hurt but it’s not like the Brown’s were a playoff contender.

Bet they wish they still had Joe Flacco.

This will give him the time to take care of all of the lawsuits.

Agree

I think the Prescott super deal trumped Watson’s. I sure bet Dallas owners are up in arms...lmao

On a further note. I have no idea why the Browns even allow Watson on the field. With all those sexual assault allegations should have made him a liability.

Just look what they did to the Bills kicker, Matt Araiza, when one lady accused him of sexual assault. They fired him immediately.

Afterwards it was discovered to be a bogus charge. Lucky for him, the Cheifs picked him up. And the last I heard, Watson’s accusers are hovering around 70 women.

Bingo! But they did seed the league with playoff bound Mayfield and record passer Flacco.

At least, Prescott, although overrated and paid, is tradable.

I'm not Browns' fan but I live 80 miles from Cleveland. I remember going to a restaurant and hearing several people express disgust that the Browns had signed Watson a few weeks after they did. This is when most in the league thought he was a top 10 QB.

But, to be not only a pervert and serial sex harasser but a horrible QB as well just adds to the legend of the Browns being one of the most cursed teams in the NFL.

Nobody would want Dak except as a backup.

I rag on Dak as a player, but from everything I’ve seen he seems to be a good guy.

That’s the risk of pro football. You can get an injury and have to retire on only a few million dollars.

Not a good weekend for Cleveland fans.

The Indiguardians played a very good series, the Yankees were just a little bit better, and I say that as a Rays fan :-)
