We had most cereals growing up (50s-60s)...as long as not frosted. I told my young son who wanted cocoa puffs, or something frosted... they were “snack food”...and maybe bought them once.
When I was little, sometimes that’s all we had.
It’s the same red insect dye used to dye redcoat British uniforms during the colonial age.
Mom only let us have oatmeal (yum!) and Cream of Wheat (blah!).
Did your Cream of Wheat have lumps?

“Cream of Wheat (blah!)”
What? did you make it with the milk, like the old black gentleman on the box did?
That was the bomb. I loved that stuff.
😂
No, thankfully!
For millions of kids, I imagine.
Glad you had it.
As I’m sure you were, too.
Probably more sugar in the Raisin Brand, than the Frosted Flakes,LOL.
If you don't believe me, google the label.
Diabetes in a box.
It’s illegal to sell/advertise tobacco products to children (they even banned candy cigarette). It’s illegal to sell firearms to anyone under 18/21 (depending on state). It’s illegal for me to purchase certain medicines without a prescription (thanks daddy government). But is legal to inject children with an experimental mRna cocktail with unknown consequences. It is legal (in some states) for children to have gender operations (sometimes without parents knowledge/permission). It is legal to market these sugar bomb cereals to growing children (to get a head start on diabetes/obesity).
Yep. But the way to find out for sure is to take your blood sugar an hour or so after eating each cereal. It is very likely that Raisin Bran will spike it just as much as frosted Flakes.
You want to really spike your blood sugar? Drink Orange Juice. You might as well drink Coke.
Yeah, orange juice is the worst, you might as well Mainline sugar. And orange juice with raisin bran? A bowl full of Snickers bars would probably be healthier and a lot more fun to eat.
I was watching an old movie, and there was a satirical radio commercial for a product called "Cream of Mush".
Very fitting and descriptive.
