He repeatedly said “the war should never have started.” This is consistent with his more recent statements rightfully blaming Biden and Zelensky for the war, and saying Zelensky refused to make deal.
Then he bemoans how it’s too late and “the cards have already been dealt” and that Biden is holding “a very bad hand”. Then he goes on about the stuff he gave Ukraine when in office (defense against the ludicrous accusations he’s some sort of Russian agent). And does the usual politician thing telling about how great he is and the great things he’s done.
He finishes up by saying he’d lower the price of oil to put Russia in a bad way and he’d give Ukraine drones. Then he tells how he replaced and updated our nuclear arsenal, etc.
He never said we should “get off the sidelines”, only that we couldn’t just “watch this happen and do nothing”.
If Trump wins, we’ll find out how he deals with this awful war. He won’t be sending Americans to fight and die for Ukraine. That’s what Zelensky is asking for now:
“Our message to all countries: prepare brigades, they can be a reserve and replace our guys who are tired. They can enter the battlefield in their place.”
You didn’t watch the video, he said a heck more than that, he wanted more weapons for Ukraine and to threaten Putin with nukes.

Why do I believe Putin only wants tonolaybkeepers with tye eastern parts? Based on Putin’s words, which have been consistent throughout, and based on reality, it stands to reason Putin only wants the eastern part inhabited by Russian speakers who prefer to be ruled from Moscow.
Western Ukraine would be a huge headache for him and require an occupation force numbering in the millions. The Russians learned their lesson in Afghanistan.
He would prefer a rump Ukraine to the west that is neutral and serves as a buffer between Russia and NATO.
Now, if Kamala wins and a reasonable solution cannot be negotiated, the Russians may be forced to go all the way to Kiev and install a new government. We’ll see what happens.

It is clear that you don’t understand much, you heard things in that meeting that weren’t said and have clung to that falsehood and promoted it for years, and now you read this and don’t see MIG jets “and more”, if you would watch that interview you would even get to the nuclear subs to shut up Putin, and Ukraine has not asked for American troops as you claim.

Yes, Trump said “more” but never said exactly what he would send that is “more”. Finally, Stuart pressed him to spell out what he meant by “more” and the only thing Trump came up with was sending drones.

Yes, Zelensky asked for “all countries” to send troops. The USA is a country, no? I said Trump would not be obliging. Again, here’s what Zelensky said

I never heard him say he’d send any jets other than the MiGs they were already getting. He laughed about sending the MiGs to Ukraine, saying they’d get “shot out of the sky”. Can you provide a time stamp?
Speaking of jets, the F-16s have not been the “game chsngers” some imagined they’d be. Not much happening with them so far.

I haven’t seen it reported elsewhere. I’ve wondered if there’s some sort of language problem or something lost in translation. He may have meant brigades of Ukrainian soldiers being trained in other countries (as we know is actually happening) or something.
