'Inside slider' to bring dire wildfire weather to parts of California

Pacific Gas and Electric warned Tuesday it could cut power in five Bay Area counties beginning on Thursday due to dry and windy weather conditions that could heighten the wildfire risk across that state, according to the utility's website.

In all, 30 California counties could face Public Safety Power Shutoffs from Thursday through Sunday, including Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties in the Bay Area.

Thursday into Saturday, a storm system known as an “inside slider” is expected to impact California. Unlike weather systems that come off the Pacific Ocean, this system is expected to track across inland areas.

Similar watches are likely to also be issued in parts of Southern California. On Thursday night, “the winds will be at their strongest” between San Luis Obispo and Los Angeles counties, said Schoenfeld.

Like the Santa Ana winds to the south, dry winds blowing from inland areas out to the coast.

So, Inside Slider means a storm system.
Ok. I first thought it was a certain kind of snake, or maybe something Freudian.

The people in charge of naming weather used to be in charge of naming paint — Bavarian Coral Steel will move through the area this weekend, which should warm things up.

I had to look for the author’s name. My suspicion was confirmed.

Reporting is so “hysterical” nowadays.

The phenomenon is a change in the “weather,” which has happened this way for all the years of my life.

The “public” utilities don’t want the liability of their faulty, poorly-maintained equipment as the contributing factor in some massive wildfire!

So, they shut-down the Grid.

The consumer be damned!

In the not-so-distant past when the country actually operated and functioned, utilities would be fined heavily for poor quality service and not maintaining their rights of way to prevent fires.

Now we have this state-sanctioned shut-down of our power.

The country has really lost its way.

Gov Newsom is expected to sign a bill soon that will cause gas to rise at least .65 cents more a gallon. The bill orders the refineries to store gas when they switch over to winter gas from summer gas which the democrats force them to do saying it needed to stop pollution. They say the stored gas is also for any unexpected maintenance issue but this will just mean less gas for everyone (but politicians) and cause a shortage of gas just when a wild fire which is caused buy the democrats blocking brush clearance and cutting trees.

So no gas to get out of the way of a democrat party firestorm that the democrats caused.
