The home run happened 64 years ago today.

Kamala only wishes she could have such a home run, but she can't, she would say, "I'm a home run, and a home run is a home run, and a home run is good, home runs are good."

You can really see how the baseball playoffs have expanded so much, considering that Game 7 of the 1960 World Series was on October 13th.

This year’s World Series may end on November 2nd if it goes the full seven games.

She is the only one who could make a word salad out of a home run.

55-27?
That’s a football game score.

as the New York Yankees outscored the Pittsburgh Pirates, 55-27,

That was the popular vote. The electoral college was 4 - 3 in Pittsburgh's favor.

I was an obsessed baseball fan as a boy, and I was listening on my transistor during recess and remember the bouncer hitting Kubek in the throat. Recess did not last long enough to include the historic home run.

Maz rounding third is one of the most iconic photos in baseball history

Nah. The Fisk homerun in ‘75 was the most dramatic.

UMMM, excuse me, I may be missing something, but this is wrong.

On 1991 in game 7 of the World Series between the Twins and the Braves, hall of fame player Kirby Puckett hit a walk-off homer in the 11th to win the series for the twins, in what many call the greatest World series in history. I

I the first six games, the home team won each contest. Four of the six were decided by one run and two went to extra innings, and the 7th game was won by Kirby hitting a home run.

World Series + Home run? Immediately think of Reggie Jackson. I was a little kid watching it on TV, and it still one of my favorite moments in sports.

Not that anyone cares, but the mighty Buffalo Bills winning a playoff game against the Raiders 51 - 3, sending the Bills to the Superbowl was even better. That was in 1991, and the roar of 80,000 fans is still reverberating off Lake Erie nearly 33 years later.

The Dodgers have been in Los Angeles longer than they were in Brooklyn.

O tempora, o mores!

Got Mazeroski, only an above average second baseman at best, into the Hall of Fame. He’s first on my HoF purge list.

My dad was at that game. Lots of folks claim they were there but my dad had the program and scorecard to prove it. Unfortunately I lost the program and scorecard somewhere in one of my moves - would probably be worth a few bucks now.

And to those who say that Maz was an average player and not worthy of the HOF, Bill James called him (arguably) the greatest defensive player of all time, at any position. The guy was absolute magic on the double play - "Old No Touch".
