I learned to drive on a 74 Pinto Station Wagon with a standard. Nowhere near as ugly as the regular Pinto, plus it had the added bonus of not blowing up if it got rear-ended.

Hahahahahahaha! My dad had a similar model, a Chrysler, and everyone called it “Einstein” because it would say in that bizarre voice:
“The door is ajar” which we all heard as “The Door is a Jar.”
Hehehe...brings back memories.
