One bad pitch by their ACE, season over.
Nice run...wish they could have scored more runs...16 K's, their issue all year, plate/zone discipline.
Too bad Vierling just died in this series, 4 k's in 5 AB's, 3 in the last...yikes.
Pitching chaos got them as far as they got, unfortunately need more than magic dust to beat a good hitting team.
Oh well, like I said, it was a (unexpected) fun run.
Hopefully a lot of their younger guys learn from the experience.
