…JuiceBox purveyor Enel X Way North America announced Wednesday that it is shutting down its United States charger operations. Drivers will no longer be able to use their phones’ apps to access JuiceBox charger devices at homes or out in public.
The news means the end of app-based tools like scheduling charges, which are particularly useful for Californians seeking off-peak electricity prices, and features for checking charging statuses and histories. In other words, they’re losing their “smart” status.
JuiceBox customers took to Reddit’s r/electricvehicles forum to complain about the company and express their confusion.
“My concern is how things like charge rate will be adjusted without the app,” one poster wrote. Another said, “I’m pissed that pretty much every feature that they previously advertised is gone.”
In the message, Enel X Way North America wrote that the decision stems, in part, from Enel Group’s “strategic approach to e-mobility,” in which it aims to bundle charging station sales with electricity to customers — Enel North America, it said, has no retail electricity customer base.
The company also pointed to struggles in the United States’ electric vehicle industry; high interest rates have made investments more difficult, and EV sales haven’t met the industry’s bullish estimates.

This should decrease interest in EV- Environment Violators.
With all due respect, it wasn't the auto industry that was giving bullish estimates of sales and savings.
It was the federal gov't and the EPA that said the future was e-vehicles.
Charger cable thieves most hit.
I have noticed that the major car blogs (Motor Trend, Car and Driver, etc) all support EVs, even though Ford and others have cut back production and are pushing hybrids. Something smells Democrat-like there.

THE Mach-E can be set in-car or via the Ford app.
Forrest Gump call it re EV owners: “Stupid is as stupid does.”

Go to Costco and buy TP. Your angst will subside.
I see them pop up on Facebook. They make it sound like electric cars are very popular.
Much like the recent abrupt bankruptcy of SunPower, one of the oldest and ‘esteemed’ solar panel companies … leaving millions of customers without monitoring support.
Trouble in paradise.
How much tax payer money did Biden give these gonefs?
How much government funding did they receive?
Musk can’t buy up their s/w, hardware and the peeps necessary to run it?
Why can’t the EPA regulate wildfire smoke in the West?
Sue the NFS and make them give their lands over to the locals.
[Also sue Biziden and make him and his crime fam turn over their ill-gotten gains.]
It’s still bad out there this year.
This might be one of the many reasons the RATS have been in panic mode all year.
Their planned kickbacks from Silicon Valley EV startups are not going to happen.
Unlike Solyndra
Took their Federal money, and ran?
Probably funded by a grant from you know who. FJB!
They were right there in the open mocking everyone.
“”How much tax payer money did Biden give these gonefs?””
