President Biden was fed a series of gentle softballs over the weekend by Robert Costa of CBS News. He mumbled through his responses in what felt like an exit interview.
After his debate debacle at the end of June, Biden publicly and privately stated that he was staying in the presidential race. It would take the “Lord Almighty” telling him to step aside for him to go, he told George Stephanopoulos. He held a press conference on July 11 that seemed to assuage concerns by some in his party. And then, 10 days later, he dropped out, in a letter posted to his social media accounts

And worse than that for Kumala, if Biden were to resign in order to make her first WOC pres., KH could not run away from that in 2028.
If she did, she’d be saying, “Yeah, he made me pres., but he’s a loser and we disagreed on everything. So, yeah, he promoted someone who was continually at odds with him, because I want to check illegal immigration and reduce inflation (etc. ad nauseum).
It could happen, and not as some sort of election manipulation. Simply because Joe goes into a coma or some such.
Picture some foreign military adventure while Kamala is sitting in the big chair at 1600 Pennsylvania.
I cannot comprehend her succeeding, even with the Joint Chiefs best efforts. (No comment.) At some point she WILL make a decision and issue an order, and it will suck. God help our troops.
However, moving her up to the top office will give Trump the most tailor-made campaign material ever imagined.

I think the odds of them moving Kamala up are better than before. The only problem I see for them with that move is that Kamala is a Moron and being president would put her front and center. This woman cannot even fake it the way obozo could.
If Trump wins election decisively, I believe it would be in national and world interest for him to assume office under emergency powers within a few days (by Nov 15). A longer lame duck period to Jan 20 2025 will be very unstable especially in terms of national security issues. This could be done by joint resolution of congress (given that any new Trump supporters would also be waiting to take office in January). I hope certain RINOs see the logic in this and act in the national interest and indeed in the interest of all free people who need strong American leadership too.
I would be more surprised if this does not happen. Though I guess it would be more likely after a Trump win as they try to use her to ram through a bunch of poison legislation.
I think the President Pro Tem (Patty Murray) since she is the stand in when the VP isn’t present in the Senate. No problems, she’s every bit as smart as Kamala.
