ChatGPT:

A longshoreman strike in the U.S. would significantly disrupt the flow of goods through major seaports, causing a ripple effect across many industries. Since U.S. ports handle a large percentage of imported goods, several types of products would likely become scarce, including:

### 1. **Consumer Electronics**
- A large portion of consumer electronics (smartphones, computers, TVs) are imported from countries like China, Japan, and South Korea. A strike would slow down shipments, leading to shortages in stores.

### 2. **Automobiles and Auto Parts**
- Many cars and auto parts are imported, particularly from Asia and Europe. Disruptions at ports would likely lead to supply issues for both new vehicles and parts for repairs and manufacturing.

### 3. **Clothing and Footwear**
- The apparel industry heavily relies on imports from Asia. A longshoreman strike would create bottlenecks in the supply of clothing, footwear, and accessories.

### 4. **Home Goods and Furniture**
- Many home goods, from basic kitchen items to large furniture pieces, are manufactured overseas. Shortages of these products would be likely as shipments are delayed.

### 5. **Food Products**
- Imported foods such as seafood, fruits, vegetables, coffee, spices, and specialty items (like wine and olive oil) would be affected, leading to scarcity in grocery stores and restaurants.

### 6. **Medical Supplies**
- Many pharmaceutical ingredients, medical devices, and PPE (personal protective equipment) are imported. A strike would create shortages in hospitals and pharmacies, affecting healthcare providers and patients.

### 7. **Toys and Games**
- Toys, particularly around peak seasons like the holidays, could become scarce. Most toys are manufactured in Asia and shipped through U.S. ports.

### 8. **Raw Materials for Manufacturing**
- U.S. manufacturing plants rely on raw materials (steel, aluminum, plastics) imported from various countries. Delays would impact industries like construction, electronics manufacturing, and consumer goods production.

### 9. **Petroleum and Chemical Products**
- Some petrochemical products, fertilizers, and other chemicals used in agriculture and industrial applications are imported, which could lead to shortages in these sectors.

### 10. **Building Materials**
- Imports of lumber, steel, tiles, and other building materials used in construction could become limited, causing delays in construction projects and raising prices.

These potential shortages would also drive up prices for the affected products, impacting businesses and consumers alike. The longer the strike, the more severe and widespread the scarcity would become.

The Commie ‘RATS could use executive power to keep longshoremen on the job, but they’re afraid of the corrupt union bosses.

Without automation, we just fall further and further behind China and all of Asia.

--- "Which products will be impacted by the Long Shoreman's Strike?"

It is assured that a massive increase in silence from Democrats will be "impacted."

How about the LIVES of these longshoremen— that product is in jeopardy- and they should think twice about gouging the public for real. Damn Commies!

perishable produce from SoAmerica, coffee, european goods

Christmas stuff and China imports will probably reroute thru SoCal ports same as when the west coast was on strike, stuff rerouted to Texas and the east coast ports

No more union labor…… anywhere. It is an unnecessary relic of the past that is not needed in this day and age. The rest of the country should not be held hostage. If the Dems are smart Biden will be instructed to fire them all after it starts hurting for people. That will actually make the Dems look good. They might be worried about union votes but it’s too small of a group to worry that much about.

Two, five, eight, nine, and ten are the big ones. You can’t deliver things without trucks with no parts or gasoline or batteries for electric vehicles.

Seems to me one of the first things the Biden/Harris administration the did was curtail the petroleum industry by cancelling new drill sites and making us dependent on foreign oil and cutting back on local imports from Canada and Mexico.

Medical supplies and food are the next ones. And if more people knew about the teamsters and how they handle their business they would be shocked.

Just have every “Migrant” walking across the border carry a bag of Coffee and other essentials. Like a Toll.
Well just import it all through Meh-He-Co.
What could go wrong?

All of the trains and trucks coming from the west coast will be full. Toilet paper comes west to east. If this drags on just a bit…they will be competing for space with all of the stuff coming through Panama.

If this goes a month or so, stuff could get very expensive.

“Which products will be impacted by the Long Shoreman’s Strike?”

Also, NEVER FORGET, this is the same Labor Union that forced FDR to cut a deal with the Mafia in the 1940s, if FDR wanted the Labor Union to support the war effort.

These people rejected a 50% salary increase! They should invoke Taft-Hartley and call out the National Guard to work at the docks. The last time they pulled this Jimmy Carter was President. Biden is Carter on Steroids.

The bad part in this is that the crane operators have a lock on the situation.
You can't just hire "scabs", the union word for non-union workers, as that job requires skills not many have.

Training new operators could take months, automation could take years.

Don't forget that exports will be affected as well in your considerations.

That will have an equal or greater domestic economic impact, IMO.
