Singer, songwriter & actor Kris Kristofferson dead at 88
Rest In Peace.
Seni-Tough is a great send up of 70’s therapeutic culture. Thanks for the laughs Sir.
Rest In Peace, Kris.
That was his opinion, and he solidly earned the right to it. We don’t ask DC and Pentagon types for advice on music, so I wouldn’t worry too much about a wonderful singer songwriter’s opinion on foreign policy.
There isn’t much music left if they all have to be vetted as moral, drug free, and solid conservatives.
This leaves Willy Nelson as the last of the “Highwaymen”....
Figures
Help Me Make It Through The Night
For The Good Times
I loved is music
He was one of those guys who did not come across as impressive…until you learned about what his life was. As far a singer songwriters go, he was more impressive than most.
More real Americans biting the dust. In a few years will be nothing but immigrants and gen z idiots left
Memory Eternal!
And Willy and Keith are keeping an eye on each other.
Gunna be a convy
this is the third celebrity death of the day..Drake Hogestyn(From days of our lives) also died today along with John Ashton
I recently watched some old Janice Joplin footage. Man what a crazy talent she was
Ahhh..that was a wonderful gang of misfits! I’ve watched their concert at Nassau Stadium maybe 50 times.
Godspeed, Kris.
Among my favorites of his?
Loving her was easier, check out the lyrics and then compare to today's lyrical tripe.
I love many of the songs he wrote. He seemed like a decent chap.
Kris was a very talented songwriter and performer.
But nobody can do it all.
Kris and Barbara Streisand didn’t make a convincing couple in that movie version of “A Star Is Born”.
The best of four versions is probably the one with
Judy Garland and James Mason, 1954.
Oh no so sad. Quite an acomplished man - Rhodes Scholar, Army Ranger and help pilot, songwriter and musician. Never thought much of him as an actor, he seemed wooden. RIP Kris Kristofferson.
Thanks for the Semi-Tough memory! I had to look up this 1977 classic.
Like so many bygone movies, no way would a studio today produce real humor like this, when it was okay and normal to be an American.
