I am curious how much the cost per taxpayer is each time I hear that the administration is sending more money to Ukraine or reducing student debt or such other unconstitutional nonsense.

The number of tax returns in 2021 was 153.6 million

In 2021, more than 54 million taxpayers chose to file "married filing jointly," while roughly 3.9 million opted for "married filing separately."

100 million single returns mean 100 million individuals.

54 million joint returns mean 108 million individuals.

208 million individuals file tax returns.

What is the cost per taxpayer when the media reports that the administration approves of sending money somewhere?

The cost to each taxpayer is approx $4.80 per billion.

Additionally, Congress has approved nearly $175 billion in total aid, which includes ongoing support and future allocations.

In round numbers, $300 Billion costs each American taxpayer $1,440.

How much does it cost each taxpayer when the administration proposes using your taxpayer money to relieve a student debt obligation?

As of the second quarter of 2024, student loan debt in the U.S. stands at a total of over $1.74 trillion. More than 92% of this is federal student loan debt, while the remaining amount is private student loans.

In round numbers, $1.74 Trillion cost each American taxpayer $8,365.00.

This is lazy analysis. The reality is that of those 200 million individuals, only a fraction of them are paying a significant net tax; you really have around 40 million people paying for everyone else’s free ride, for services and causes that are directly against their own interests.
