How Much Does Each American Pay?
I am curious how much the cost per taxpayer is each time I hear that the administration is sending more money to Ukraine or reducing student debt or such other unconstitutional nonsense.
The number of tax returns in 2021 was 153.6 million
In 2021, more than 54 million taxpayers chose to file "married filing jointly," while roughly 3.9 million opted for "married filing separately."
100 million single returns mean 100 million individuals.
54 million joint returns mean 108 million individuals.
208 million individuals file tax returns.
What is the cost per taxpayer when the media reports that the administration approves of sending money somewhere?
The cost to each taxpayer is approx $4.80 per billion.
Since Russia's invasion in February 2022, the United States has allocated approximately $113.4 billion in emergency funding to support Ukraine, with over $60 billion of that amount provided in the form of military, economic, and humanitarian aid. Additionally, Congress has approved nearly $175 billion in total aid, which includes ongoing support and future allocations.
In round numbers, $300 Billion costs each American taxpayer $1,440.
How much does it cost each taxpayer when the administration proposes using your taxpayer money to relieve a student debt obligation?
As of the second quarter of 2024, student loan debt in the U.S. stands at a total of over $1.74 trillion. More than 92% of this is federal student loan debt, while the remaining amount is private student loans.
In round numbers, $1.74 Trillion cost each American taxpayer $8,365.00.
The Zeepers and open-borders corporation-worshipping neoCONs don’t care what it costs.
Now add on permanent support for the uncountable number of millions of immigrants, both legal and illegal, who have come in during the Harris-old Whatshisnane administration.
Thanks to inflation I have cut every one of my hobby activities in half. HALF. Our good comfortable lives are being Sovietized.
I’ll pay my $9000+ share as soon as I get a NO INTEREST/NEVER PAY BACK/ NO CREDIT CHECK loan from the government.
Thank God we have a completely printed and fiat currency, and a centrally-planned monetary system that allows for massive government debt and debasement
Otherwise, how could we afford all these wonderful things?
Stating the obvious, but it needs stated more often.
Same here. I took at PT job working 24 hours a week at $14.50 and now my hours are cut to 10 hrs per week.
This is lazy analysis. The reality is that of those 200 million individuals, only a fraction of them are paying a significant net tax; you really have around 40 million people paying for everyone else’s free ride, for services and causes that are directly against their own interests.
Nobody pays, the gummint owns a printing press. Naive analysis.
If my numbers are close to accurate each taxpayer's part of the $450 billion is $2,160.
