Not sure what state this is, but in this crazy time, the homeowner could possibly be charged with menacing and maybe even assault.
And these folks were really, really proud of their lawns.
It is fake but if it happened to me I would direct them to add as many as possible and at different angles for full coverage and then when I had all they would use they would be trashed after they left, someone more persistent might even call them and tell them they were stolen, so bring some more.

I’ve never found stuff like this funny. Same thing with “practical” jokes. I’ve seen some stunts pulled in the name of humor that could have caused great harm, like really scaring someone who is older. Not a good idea.
