This is what leadership looks like. President Trump flanked by Zelenskyy:
“I learned a lot, but I think I haven't changed from the standpoint that we both want to see this end and we both want to see a fair deal made. It's got to be fair and I think that will happen ... This is a war that should have never happened.”

Go Trump!
A major postwar trade deal with Russia won’t get them to leave the Donbass. However, there are enough mineral resources and uranium, both east and west of the Dnieper, to allow both Russia and Ukraine to rebuild the war zones within a decade or less.
Trump is the boss.
Yes definitely. I like it
He knows an azzhole when he sees one. Thinks he’s right, which he is. IMO
He has good instincts too. He is a good leader. He must win.
The first thought that came, before clicking the link was; “did he compel Z to wear a suit, rather than the OD?”
I wish he’d have played that card...
“Z...I’d like to meet with you at Trump Tower. Please be advised that the dress code for professional meetings at the Tower is business formal. Should you require a business suit, tie and polished shoes, kindly provide your measurements and we will have a rental available for you.”
The optics would be off the charts.
Z shows up everywhere in his drab jammies, but when he meets with Trump, he shows respect.
This would have been EPIC!
Zelensky was in Scranton to visit the ammunition plant and have Governor Shapiro sign a sister city agreement with Ukraine
Biden sand bagged him by turning it into a campaign event for
Harris
Biden and the Democrats are real scum bags
I’m thinking he was sandbagged as well, I would love to hear what Uke leaders were saying in private about how the democrats turned that into the negative publicity circus they did, Trump has helped to undo some of that damage.
Trump and Z.
Point to the one who caught a bullet!
Zelensky had 2 choices when Putin attacked in February of 2022. Run for the hills or do what ever he could to protect his country. Which of the 2 would you have chosen if you were President of Ukraine.
Putin has been attacking his neighbors since he first became President so Putin’s attack cannot be blamed on Zelensky.
Putin can’t say he is saving the citizens of Ukraine because he is nightly bombing hospitals, apartment buildings and schools.
"This is a war that should have never happened." - Donaldus Maximus Trump
I never connected the dots with all that. Thank you for that info. It’s telling
That’s the guy I voted for.
By letting the Dems railroad Trump over the Phone call, Zelenskyy sealed his country’s fate.
But for the sham impeachment, that Zelenskyy could have stopped, Trump would have been re-elected and Russia would never have invaded Ukraine.
I agree. Trump handled that with class, defusing what the democrats tried to inflame.
Ukraine and Zelensky are probably extremely grateful for Trump pulling them out of this public relations debacle and my guess is that the Trump meeting is getting some very nice coverage in Ukraine.
The way things worked out, the situation the dems created elevated the Trump role to much larger status and gave him a much more positive result as gracious and important statesman than if they had not played this nasty political stunt as they did.
BUMP
The fact that Ukraine was part of Russia from about the time of our declaration of independence, 1776 or so, up until about 1990, says that the situation is different than in some other invasions. There really were ethnic Russians in those lands. That dynamic alone says we have an onion to peel. I suspect that obama allowed the takeover of Crimea and Biden the invasion because they actually supported putin. I suspect nothing happened on Trump’s watch because he actually supported a neutral Ukraine.
