Many residents of the shuttered Aurora apartments at 1568 Nome St. are looking for a new place to stay after the building was declared uninhabitable.
The city says more than 80 families are looking for a place to stay. Community groups are stepping up to help people find more stable shelter.
“I think the heart of our communities is a big one,” said Andrea Ryall, executive director of the group Hope Has No Borders.

“From that grassroots movement in our city and just a lot of people doing the right thing, was born our nonprofit. May 1, we launched our official programming. We do in-community housing,” Ryall said. “The heart of the program really is to take a population of asylum seekers, people who are fleeing very dangerous scenarios and hunger. And a lot of kids who really just need a safe place to land while they make their choices on what they want to do next.”

It’s amazing that the only place on the planet that the foreigners can possibly live is right there in Denver, a place none of them had seen until what, a year ago?
In fact virtually all of them had probably never left Venezuela, a small country on another continent, thousands of miles away.
But now it’s a humanitarian disaster that they can’t find lodging in one of the more expensive cities in the US.
They can always go home. Hand them a gun, turn them around, they’ll know what to do when they get home, as Ed Abbey once said.

Golly. Now what could have happened to an apartment complex inhabited by illegals aliens that would have made it uninhabitable? Could it be their s hole culture? Nah.
Let the Dems supply funding for housing and care for illegals; they wanted them here, Dems can use some of their campaign funds for care of illegals instead of taxpayers.
Each "mom" should be mandated to take one or two migrant families - or single military-aged men - into their own homes - and pay all of their expenses.
Back in 2015/2016....in Germany, the chief problem was housing after 3 months of living in some former military barracks situation. So what the Germans did as a half-ass model....hire modular building folks to build ‘hut-type structures’. I generally referred to them as upscale ghetto situations.
What I see in Springfield (just viewing locals and description how this works)....a number of heavily aged homes (built in the 1930s/1940s) are being rented out with vouchers....to 7 to 10 individuals. None of the homes seem to be in prime condition and the owners are likely making double what they should be expecting. How this continues? I have no idea.
All of this has to revolve around Homeland Security handing out housing vouchers...either for hotels, apartments or homes. The minute you halt that (which Trump is likely to do)....this entire ‘game’ will collapse in a matter of three or four months.
