Elon Musk is encouraging a hilarious parody ad mocking Kamala Harris to go viral on X after California governor Gavin Newson signed a law to eliminate deepfake and other AI generated content in the lead up to the election.
The law was sparked by a series of parody videos created by AI and using deepfakes to mock Kamala Harris on social media.

The greatest benefit to Trump and Musk was the idiot Newsom’s law banning deep fake videos.
That one decision alone probably added another couple of million or so hits to the fake but accurate Kamala video.
This is what’s known as the “The Streisand Effect”
Love it. How, again, did they say they would ban it?
I’m waiting for Frank Sinatra to sing heavy metal or even rap!
Wow! Those parodies are awesome!
Now, THAT might have at least some entertainment value!
Why use AI?
It’s exactly what she says and does in real life?
Significant!
On the same day of Newsom's order to ban such videos Musk posted another one targeting Newsom. Sorry I don't have a link but its great.
So if I pick out the bits of lettuce, cabbage and cheese from Kamala’s word salad and manually assemble them into a coherent but not 100% accurate representation of her I am fine, but if the computer tools I use have AI I’m breaking the law? That’s like outlawing lock picks for burglary but allowing old fashioned sledge hammers to knock down doors.
"Thanks to my leadership over the last several years, California has become a world leader in left-wing governance..."
LOL - where’s the parody? The video is just exposing the truth!
Dear Gavin,
The toothpaste is out of the tube. Sucks, doesn’t it?.
Dictators hate being mocked. Gavin is a dictator.
Dictators hate being mocked. Gavin is a dictator.
The Bee ad at the end on newsom was better.
Gavin Gruesome
If liberals had their way, they could really ban anything, it would not be a free society.
