Uh, they are smarter and more disciplined. Read the Bell Curve.
Maybe cuz they’re educated instead of indoctrinated!
It’s really simple - Asian kids, at least in Asia DO NOT have calculators thrown in their faces in math class. And when they complain “Math is hard”, they get told “tough shit, keep working”. US kids get a whole army of ‘social workers’ at their disposal once they complain about, well, anything.
Because they aren’t being I doctrinated with lgbtq nonsense and being scolded constantly for their “white privilege” or in this case “brown privilege” and are actually taught math?
Math is the best way to train your brain how to think.
Now you know why so many kids in our education system wind up becoming Democrats.
High expectations from the entire society.
I’d be willing to bet their brains mature earlier. Do our top 10% match their top 10%?
Because they are focused on math and not pronouns?
One of the pitfalls is the way the schools now attempt to teach math. The goal appears to be having elementary school students in frist, second, third grade achieve the kind of higher understanding of math that a math major might have, which is something 99% of students will never need. In the past, practicing the basics to the point of automaticity was how American students were taught arithmetic and math, so that when algebra on up was taught, the students did not have to think about the building blocks that the higher math skills are built upon. They just knew.
That is partially true. Upbringing has a lot to do with it but it seems survival skills has more to do with innate talents. Look at the pioneers, the building skills of the European settlers is incredible. The log cabins and huge barns didn’t just pop up on their own. Western civilizations main problem is they have too few problems to solve.
“Western” is increasingly non white. Import low iq morons, become low iq morons. Plus the American/government school system is designed to produce dumb students. That’s it.
Cool, they should stay in Asian countries
Also Chinese, Korean, and Japanese have stroke orders and numbers for writing, so much of the foundation of their language is mathematical. We say ‘a’ and you can write it anyway you want as long as you get close, but if you write 亜 it’s written in a specific stroke order and direction, with a certain number of strokes.
Also, most Asian parents force their kids to learn multiplication tables from memory, so kids are used to memorizing formulae, functions, etc.
Culture.
Did anyone ever try and learn Mandarin or any other Asian language? I did. The Army in the 80s was giving a huge bonus for fluent speakers of Chinese. After a couple months, file 13. No amount of $, at the time, was worth the effort.
Sure, it’s on of the easiest languages to ‘learn’. But speak, write, read...a whole nother ball game!
… because they’re taught right (at home) and do their homework.
Homework, Asian kids do their homework
Exactly.
That’s why everything was invented in Asia.
Oh, wait….
