I lived in FL for 17 years, 12 of that in Palm Beach County, and I met a lot of Haitians and Haitian Americans. My overall experience was that they were exceptionally polite, successful, had stable families and emphasized education. I knew a number of accomplished Haitians and Haitian-Americans, and my experience was so positive over the years that if all I knew was that I was going to meet someone from Haiti, I would have high expectations.
You’re point being…?
I have had positive experiences, too, so I’m surprised by these rumors. I can only conclude that either (1) these stories are false rumors, or (2) the Haitians I met years ago were the ones who left Haiti to get away from the cat-eating Haitians. Maybe a small number of Haitians really do engage in this practice, while the majority do not. Maybe people started the practice after the earthquake devastated their country. Or, maybe a few real stories (like the geese story) led to out-of-control false rumors about other animals. Who knows?
Every Haitian I’ve met has been a sub- human bag of excrement.
Hundreds. I lived across the street from a nice house - converted into a total sh!tpit - full of those erect-walking roaches.
Let’s just say my experiences with the overall community (who formed a committee on my lawn demanding my things) was not positive.
The average IQ of a Haitian is <70.
Many people have formed similar opinions of Chinese, Indian, and South American immigrants, however the ones they met years ago were from the top 10%, and that genius pool was tapped out long ago. The economic refugees coming over now are mostly from the bottom 10%.
Were they in America legally or did they pay thousands of bucks to some trafficker to fly them to Mexico and then sneak them across the border?
Your experience those times ago is probably very atypical of what is now for most other Americans here and now. What we are getting now from these third world countries are by no means desirable nor wanted by their own countries. We just don’t need them or owe them anything.
