No Japanese? I don’t drink whisky but I thought they made good ones.
Worthless. Not a single Islay Malt on the list.
Back in the day, whiskey and water was the only way to go for me.....and maybe a lime wedge.
We had the opportunity to visit Scotland. They had 250 different single malt whiskeys. He was in hog heaven. By now Scotland probably DOUBLED that number.
What did you switch to?
I’ve had vairious
Aberlour Double Cask
Talisker and 45 Year Old Glacial Edge
I’m happy with Lagavulin or Laphroaig.
Mr. GG2 likes Bowmar. I don’t care for single malt.
One summer in the ‘80’s got a little crazy with Pinch and a splash....had to set it down.
Methinks that with your recent posts about the best alcoholic beverages that you are preparing us for Kamala Harris being our new President because of massive cheating by non-citizens voting for her.
Thanks in advance for doing this research so I can remain inebriated for four long years of listening to President Cackler.
The correct answer is Oban.
I want you to know that I appreciate your labors in finding and posting many good and informative articles to help keep Free Republic forum alive and lively.
However in saying this, I also have a complaint that i wish you might see a need to make a change in one area of your effort. I have noticed that you have posted a spate of articles that feature the promotion of products of the liquor, wine, and beer/ale-type industries.
While my perception is that on the Free Republic forum the mention of such ethanol-based products must be tolerated in articles posted that are of a more general nature, as well as in the discussions that follow, that might not be wanted on FR when the central issue is about approving such products and esteeming their use.
So in contrast, I believe the focus of these of your recent articles has been the promotion of the liquor industry and specifically named products of it in such a way that their character can be considered a very blatant sales pitch to increase the ethanol-dependent business, and with it tge emphasis necessarily influences the undesirable advance of alcoholism.
Having been a while ago justifiably scored by the mental health clinicians as a problematic heavy drinker, losing my marriage by the accompanying loss of mutual faithfulness, and suffering from the death of a son from the effects of it in his early adulthood, my withdrawal from that kind of life has been total and rejecting of it for over forty years now.
Hence here I want to call you out for the sin of pretending to post such articles as being the normal fare backed by the standards of this conservative, God-fearing moral community.
I beg you to stop posting these articles that are so obviously dedicated to the increased consumption of the toxin ethanol as being a widely-approved recreational use of it in accepted social behavior, a medium that has resulted in much of the fatalities and destroyed families because of the degraded decadent cultural results evident in a culture that does not suppress its use, along with other deadly demeaning drugs so disapproved, such posts being inappropriate for a conservative family audience.
On this basis I appeal to the owners of this forum and its administrators to reject the posting of this kind of reading fare as being material that they can support.
Going forward, I am hoping that even as they would decide to place the glorifying of intoxicating beverages together with the other articles that promote beliefs and practices that tear down a moral society and its government, as did our Founders who were attempting to set up a Godly Constitutional heritage, in which some liberties must be restricted to preserve that way of life.
Respectfully,
