A Mississippi teen who sat in her kitchen alongside her two dogs moments after she allegedly killed her mother is accused of texting her friend that she had an “emergency” and trying to lure her stepfather back to the home.
Carly Gregg, 15, is accused of murdering her mom, high school teacher Ashley Smylie, inside their Brandon, Miss., home March 19 when Smylie discovered her daughter’s “secret life.”
Gregg, wearing a Nirvana band shirt, awkwardly shuffled around the house holding something behind her back, later identified as a .357 Magnum handgun, and facing the camera so it could not detect the weapon, according to footage shown in a Rankin County courtroom on Tuesday.

Weed has been weaponized by the powers-that-be, especially in vape pens. When the THC content rises above 30%, the user begins to trip, like on LSD. Bad trips are a bummer, caused by a temporary psychotic break. That coupled with a mental health problem is a bad combination. She killed her mom but she is a victim too, so sad.

Another crazy person who is not medicated or in structured living(incarcerated or committed to insane asylum)...parroting or acting out whatever comes across their eyes and ears, and into their brains..

If anyone ever breaks in, I can review the recording from anywhere and be able to give those photos to police for their reports (not that they’ll do much about it).

The nephew of one of my coworkers shot and killed his mother, in suburban upscale Orange County CA. A high school kid, no one who knew the family would have predicted this.
His mother had been scolding him over some minor transgression and he reacted by grabbing a pistol and shooting her.
From what I gather there were meds involved, those being the usual recreational street drugs real common among teens in OC. There’s few family tragedies that can match this. My prediction is that the guilt will eventually drive the son to kill himself too.

Nanny cams. (And if you have an aging relative in a nursing home, you should consider hiding a nanny cam in the room. If we had had one then we’d know who stole my MIL’s fine jewelry a few hours before she died.)

My friend’s nephew had a .22 pistol as I recall. The family used to go target shooting and I think this was his personal gun. He had never shown any signs mental problems, it just came out of nowhere. There was some recreational drug use which can unpredictably go sideways.

Or even schizophrenia. Self-medicating with street drugs making either one worse.
