The Arizona Cardinals are taking heat for forcing a season ticket holder to throw away her MAGA hat to get into State Farm Stadium last weekend.
Susan Rosener, who has owned season tickets for 34 years, told KPNX-TV that on Sunday, stadium security flagged her down and told her she could not enter the facility with her “Make America Great Again” hat.
Rosener said the security officials told her that political gear is not allowed in the stadium.
The long-time fan said she asked the security worker why the hat was prohibited.
“She’s like, ‘no political hats or shirts.’ And I said I haven’t heard that at all. And I said that doesn’t make sense to me. And she goes, ‘I said, Take your hat off,'” Rosener told the station.

Our country has degraded a lot when one of the political parties is offended by the phrase “Make American Great Again”.
Was State Farm Stadium partially funded with public money. Highly likely...
Interesting how when something negative is done against MAGA or conservative, it is always a mistake and absolutely nothing happens to the employee.
That would be my last baseball game.
Guess I don’t go to the game. Or anyone with me. What gramma says goes.
Of course, I don't watch sports anymore. A bunch of rich whiny prima donnas. Not going to get a penny from me.
Football
Why did she comply? Should have left immediately!
Sporting Event should not prevent free speak - would they deny Harris Hats?
anyone that embraces and supports the nfl since the colin cancer kneeling during the national anthem debacle deserves all the punishment they set themselves up for...
My last baseball game was the same day at Chase Field - Arizona Diamondbacks.
I hadn’t attended a game in over 9 years (KC Royals). Cost me $150 for wife and I - that was too much.
I was surprised to see the prices; resulted in $280 for seats/parking/food. Sat in upper deck near right field foul pole. Pitching was horrendous and any extra effort defensive play needed did not happen. Very sloppy game. 12-10 in 10 innings; you would think it was exciting but anti-climactic result - meltdowns on both sides.
I really enjoy baseball but going to the game does not carry any special event status for me, especially at those prices.
She couldn’t just put it in her purse or in a pocket? If they tried to take it from her, then that would be assault. But no one should comply with such a command.
Cardinals are the concussionaires.
But ...
I enjoy professional sports as a form of "escape" ... and it would be nice to escape all things political. even it's only for the relatively short time while the game is being played ... and that includes getting rid of the political ads!
I know there are lockers outside Chase Field, so there are probably lockers outside State Farm. Or she could have taken it back to her car.
It’s common not to allow political stuff inside sporting venues.
Were they kneeling for the National Anthem too?
I opted out of being a fan decades ago.
She didn't have to throw it in the trash. She could have found some place or person to hold it for her while she attended the game. As a season ticket holder, she could have gotten her rep to come out and held the hat for her.
Brett Butler went to a Dodger game with a non-transparent bag and was turned away. The audience is clearly told that only transparent bags are allowed. She fought and was arrested because she didn't want to give up her bag or leave.
Isn’t “BLACK LIVES MATTER” which is emblazoned everywhere in every stadium - isn’t that political speech ? Or do they say it’s not political because who could argue with the concept - of course black lives matter but try saying POLICE LIVES MATTER and see what happens to you
