“and yes it runs and drives...”
That’s a rare commodity my friend......every one that I’ve ever seen was a pizza chit.
As I understand it, you can increase reliability by replacing components like starter and alternator with Japanese manufactured ones......is that true?
I've heard that an AC Delco alternator for a Chevy Chevette is a direct replacement for the factory item on an MGB, and it will actually keep your battery charged, unlike the factory item.
Weber used to sell carb kits so you could toss the terrible SU carbs. And you used to be able to get conversion brackets so you could get rid of the stupid lever shocks. I think AC Delco sold electric kits to replace the terrible starters and generators. But that was a long time ago.
Fix those things and Brit sports cars weren’t so bad. I had an MG Midget briefly once years ago. A really fun little car in the mountains. Too bad Brit cars were such shyt. I could go on for an hour with horror stories.
Ignition can be replaced with GM on triumph cars. The GM unit will bolt right in
Don’t know, I used all British Leyland parts for everything I have done, It is almost like new but dusty...
