There are quite a few Hezbollah terrorists that will have problems typing from on - I would say that 40% of the terrorists that had their pagers blow have missing fingers.

Here is what Hezbolla did. They bought special beepers and gave them to everyone. Each beeper by design had a self destruct mechanism in them in case Israel ever got one. There was a code to set off the self destruct mechanism. Either by accident or Israel, the code was given. I would bet that the code was accidentally embedded into a normal message. And it accidentally set off all the self destructs.
This is not a hack by itself. The explosive material had to be put in by the makers ahead of time. The only thing Israel could have done is to set off a device that already had a self destruct material in it. They can’t hack the bomb into existence. The battery even if super heated would not explode like that. It would get hot or burn. But that explosion was a real plastic bomb.

Last summer I threw a tired 18650 cell into my bonfire - It was pretty loud and blew most of the embers out of the standing fire-pit. Like a good sized firecracker
