JOHNSTOWN, Pennsylvania – Kamala Harris had a chance to rally the working class in deep red Pennsylvania.
She did an invite-only pit stop instead.
Hundreds of supporters chanted “Ka-ma-la” when the vice president arrived Friday at the Johnstown airport.
Driving a road lined with Trump signs on her way into town, Harris spoke for 30 minutes at local bookstore, Classic Elements, intending to show her support for small businesses.
Later in the day, she rallied in Wilkes-Barre, about 200 miles to the northeast.
But in Johnstown, both the airport and bookstore were by invitation only – to the chagrin of voters who wanted to hear what the vice president could offer their left-behind city.
“She’s hiding from most of the people,” Ed Luce told The Post. “She needs to convince a lot of the working poor people.”
Johnstown used to be a union Democratic stronghold.

“Old school Democrats are what the Republicans are now,” said Jim Ardary, referring to the values of hard work and love of country.
He spent his Friday keeping Trump protesters from disrupting Harris’s bookstore event.

...Yet dinosaur media and (anti)Social Media are still falling all over themselves gushing about how “Presidential” Ms. Harris is. It’s like the inescapable, “Hope & Change” juggernaut of 2008, or the half-hour infomercials for Bill Clinton back in 1992.
Don’t worry, they will probably show up around 2:00 am on election night.
As someone on RAV pointed out recently, the truly scary thing is that it’s likely that 50% (+/-) of Americans will vote for her in spite of her lies, Communism, flip-flops, policies, sleeping her way up the ladder, etc. (And if Trump’s sexual history — whether true or fabricated — is a big deal, why isn’t hers?)

Agree with your comment except America has become a matriarchy. The 50% who will be voting for Kamala are the same "useful-idiot" female voters who gave us "Bathhouse Barry" two times. Female registered voters outnumber male registered voters by a significant margin. Hilary's loss in 2016 versus a more-than-likely Kamala win in 2024 could be explained as the result of the left finally perfecting the art of the steal which they had not yet gotten exactly "right" in 2016, but which they did get "right" in 2020. They will need both of these things, the useful idiot vote, plus the last-minute calculated ballot dump in swing states, to pull it off. The only defense against all of this would be a MAGA landslide of epic proportion. I think that is doubtful. We have had a grid-locked 50/50 government for decades now. The last election that produced a victor with an actual "mandate" was Ronald Reagan's in 1986. That was a long time ago. The demographics of the country have changed since then. And not in a good way.
