ALF sounded like he must have been Joe Liberman’s older brother
It was a wonderful family-friendly tv show that was often quite hilarious... the sort of wholesome shows they don’t make today. RIP Benji and thank you for the wonderful laughs my family shared while watching ALF...
It was undoubtedly silly but so is much of television.

There hasn’t been anything I’ve wanted to watch beyond a few documentaries in decades. Everything is ridiculous. Women taking unrealistic male roles where her 98 pounds trumps 250 pounds in fist fights. Not because she’s an expert in some marshal art, but because she can hit his jaw hard enough to make him backflip and lay in a crumpled pile. White men are played as idiots. There’s an obligatory gay in almost everything. The black characters are amazingly superior in whatever is required. People WAY too young have the knowledge and experience their character is assigned that could only be gained by decades at whatever job. And there’s some woke dialog about evil Republicans or climate change thrown in haphazardly in lots of places where preachy is not called for. (Actually, preachy is never called for in entertainment.) Hollywood has lost me.
