...he had a sudden cardiac arrest from which he did not recover...

For years I'd tire out easily. Then one day at work I got suddenly weak and started a cold sweat. I continued to work and finished my shift. The next day I woke up with the same feeling. I figured if after a full night's rest I felt this way I'd better get checked out. I drove myself to the VA and walked in to the Emergency room.

Turns out the Heart releases a certain compound when it's in trouble and my levels were huge! There is a blood vessel which feeds the Heart itself nicknamed 'The Widowmaker'. Mine was blocked. The only reason I can now type this is because alternator vessels had grown in to order to help. I ended up getting a triple bypass.

Thank you for your post. EMS worked on him for nearly 45 minutes, then 20 more in ER with the doctor. They tried to prevent me coming into ER but I refused to be stopped. I guess they had some hope because he was so fit and only 53. I’m now fully convinced when it’s your time and the days God has given are up, that’s that. Nothing can stop the inevitable. It answers a question I used to have about why some folks who don’t take care of themselves and are so unhealthy live to be old although fit people like my husband don’t. It’s just not their time and they are stuck dealing with the poor health they caused. That said I realize some have issues not self inflicted. Those my heart truly goes out to.
