Good piece. I think this is an important area to stand firm on — the US Democrats are following the Fascist tradition. US Republicans are not.

The 20’s and 30’s saw a wave of Communism sweeping Europe - Ernest Hemingway and others waxing poetic.
Franco, Mussolini and Hitler didn’t happen in a vacuum. No one wanted to wake up to their daughter getting stuffed down a well.
Obviously, the reaction can be worse than the cause, but the cause seem strikingly absent, to me, from history.

Mussolini was head of the Italian Communists until he was replaced in an internecine power struggle. His appeal to a burgeoning Italian nationalism was just a political ploy to regain power.

It might be worthwhile to re-examine the foundations of the ideology that underpinned National Socialism and its close cousin fascism.
The progressive MSM is doing it’s part to advance the notion.
