That is one of the most unattractive women I have seen. Never listened to a single “song” by her or ever even seen her face before, so I can’t comment on her music, but that face...
I always assumed she attracted fans due to some shock value thing of some kind in her act.

She was never attractive (and it's not getting better with money and surgery), so she did her gimmicky schtick to separate her from equally talented Singer / Songwriters who chose not to dress and act like a freak. It worked out for her and her shallow fans that heaped tens of million into her bank account.
Her husband to be sure looks like this limp wristed Interior Decorator from the Million Dollar Decorators show ten years back on Netflix.
