After ‘Mechanistic’ Mass Formation
American Thinker ^ | 3 Sep, 2024 | Christopher Chantrill

Matthias Desmet is the Dutch psychologist that got into trouble pushing against the Narrative on COVID. La Wik:

Desmet became known for his negative assessment of the corona measures… He also made a number of statements that were considered untrue and/or misleading by fact checkers[.]

I picked up his book The Psychology of Totalitarianism last week, in which he argues that the kind of “mass formation” we saw during COVID where everyone rushed to get with the latest ukase from on high, is characteristic of modern totalitarianism and its “mechanistic” worldview.

At the end of the book he cites modern physics, including quantum mechanics and chaos theory, to argue that the mechanistic worldview -- of the Enlightenment, Newton, and the Industrial Revolution -- has been superseded and needs to be tossed onto the trash heap of history.

Of course, there is only one problem with the new worldview. Sure we all live in a world that uses the new science: H–bombs and Shannon’s Law that information is surprise. But only about three people in the whole world understand it all.

I have only one problem with Desmet’s ideas. I don’t think that “mass formation” applies just to our modern mechanistic age. I think that all rulers rely on getting the people riled up to get their way, whether it’s to go to war or put on masks or get the saboteurs and wreckers.

And they especially go for “mass formation” when things are going wrong. Like right now here at home, according to Schmuel Klatskin, with:

a deep state grown so corrupt that it has not hesitated to use the nation’s intelligence agencies and the Department of Justice to initiate political prosecutions at the highest level and to institute censorship in order to forcibly control the national conversation.

Communism, which never works, is the carrot that the fascists use to sway the low IQ masses in order to gain power.

Shannon's theory tells you how much “stuff” you are sending through a channel, but it does not care if it is a cookie recipe or the plans for a time machine...

OK...

Ahhhh, got it: from link:

Shannon’s Law, as applied to human endeavor, tells us that it is individual humans trying out new ideas that work that are the basis of our staggering economic prosperity. And new ideas that don’t work just disappear into the noise.

Shannon’s Law tells us that the reason socialism and corporatism and government programs don’t work is because the whole point of them is to stop inventive creativity.

Socialism. No ideas except as approved by the intellectuals in charge.

Corporatism. No new business allowed to compete with existing mega-corporations.

Government. No ideas except as approved by the bureaucrats.

Look, it’s obvious to me that this tendency, to stay with The Thing approved by the rulers, the knowers, is a big thing in human affairs. It applies in spades with religion, where orthodoxy literally means “correct opinion,” and opposed to heresy. But La Wik says that heresy comes from the ancient Greek, haíresis (αἵρεσις), meaning “choice,” or “thing chosen.” I guess that heresy has come to mean “wrong choice, peasant.”

Understand the “Iron Law of Oligarchy”
“A system run by people, individual people, but they are all replaceable, interchangeable parts of the system. No one is giving orders to censor anyone or prosecute anyone or telling anyone what to publish or broadcast. No one has to. Anyone in any position of power knows what to do, without being ordered. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be in their position. They are organs of the body that the system compromises. We are the infection.
Until we understand that, and accept it, we are going to get nowhere”

We are here.
The fraud is being exposed through social media, bypassing the lying propaganda state run media.

Force is now being initiated.

Arrested for a meme in the US.
Arrested for posting the statistics of rapes by the invaders in the UK.
Only going to get worse and we can only wonder what evil destruction the tyrants have planned next for us.

~~~
Lenin was probably a true blue believer in Marxism, and the belief was the impetus for the ‘revolution’. Stalin and definitely Mao were all about tyrannical power, and the marxism was the excuse for it. Mao studied it in depth, so I’m not saying he took it lightly, but was definitely all about the power.
The low IQ masses have heard their names before, but have no idea what it was like in those times, either under the direct brutal violence that they caused, or that stark conditions that they created.
People think that if they can pre-set the govt like a microwave, it’ll just do what you want done, no more, and things will hum along just fine.
They want to be able to be able to ignore it; and they suppose it’ll return the favor and leave them alone.
But the price keeps rising, as our requirements pile on. It wants more from us all the time, and vice versa. As Humpty Dumpty said of language, so of government: “The question is, which is to be master.”
We wanted the government to master certain matters for us. At first it was only a few critical things. Coinage. Defense from invasion. Now they’ve degraded the coinage and welcomed invaders — but we’ve got Social Security, “free” education, health insurance, licensing every imaginable activity, protection for wildlife and the environment, and defense against everything from nuclear attack to raw milk.
It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that most of us are cowardly and lazy, and left to our own devices, couldn’t master fire, never mind government.
I picked up his book The Psychology of Totalitarianism
Now, pick up a book titled, Obedience to Authority by Stanley Milgram. They are two sides of one coin.
We are living in a world full of new chapters for Charles Mackay’s tome “Extraordinary Popular Delusions And The Madness Of Crowds”.
