There is a major flaw in US law, state and federal. Prosecutors can charge you with anything and get away with it. It is then your burden to prove innocence, despite the time and cost of you against the state with limitless resources. Then the states are incentivized by corporate prisons. The corporations pay the states out of the profits made from prisoners working for a $1 or so an hour, producing any variety of goods. Am thinking the license plate days are gone.
