I would tend to disagree, but I'm only citing myself as an example, and I was smoking just as potent flower when I first started. Not always that potent, but roughly half the time just as potent as today.

Again, getting more potent is relative. Means little. Instead of us passing around a couple of doobies to get mellow, we just passed around 1, and didn't even have to finish it sometimes if it was just that good!

Legalizing makes it more convenient for adults. Criminalizing it made it attractive to teens and they had absolutely no problems getting it when it was illegal, and I know that fact personally. Until it was legalized, they were getting better flower than I could find!

Legalizing it just let the government finally get their cut because they cannot stop it in the first place. Regulating it may help keep it out of teens hands eventually, but got to get the tax man out of the way first to push it down the path they took Tobacco.

I agree.

Pot was universally available and relatively cheap in the 70s. We kids had no issues obtaining it. Though $40 for an ounce of Columbian Gold was considered very expensive, most ounces were in the $15-$20 range.
