As weed has become easier to obtain, it has become harder to smoke.A strange thing has happened on the path to marijuana legalization. Users across all ages and experience levels are noticing that a drug they once turned to for fun and relaxation now triggers existential dread and paranoia. “The density of the nugs is crazy, they’re so sticky,” a friend from college texted me recently. “I solo’d a joint from the dispensary recently and was tweaking just walking around.” (Translation for the non-pot-savvy: This strain of marijuana is not for amateurs.)

Excessive pot use damages brain functions but I forget which one.
I remember people making that same claim... in the 80s!
Recently related to neck and throat cancer.
After not smoking any in over 50 years I tried a joint. No thanks, way to strong.
It only takes the smell of pot today vs.back in the 70s to know this ain’t your mama’s marijuana.
I don’t really know what kind of variety there is out there, but in terms of strength, I get the feeling that it is not a really wide range.
For alcohol:
Everclear (if you want it) 200 proof.
Some rum: 120 proof.
Wild Turkey whiskey: 101 proof.
Many rums or whiskey: 80 proof.
Kahlua: 40 proof.
Wine: much less
Beer: even less
Choose the strength you want — drink for taste only, if you like. Drink a little and drive just fine. Drink some more and decide you shouldn’t drive. Drink even more and pass out. You have options.
All I hear about cannabis is: “Whoa! This stuff is so strong! It wasn’t like this a few decades ago!!”
I don’t know what the companies are thinking, but they seem to want everyone on another planet rather than just mildly chill.
A friend’s 20 something grandson has marijuana induced schizophrenia from smoking it. I smell marijuana everywhere I go in CO. It hasn’t been a good thing for individuals or society. Even prior to my finding out about her grandson, I’ve changed my opinion on it.
If you grow your own, it is less powerful.
There is .
I've been smoking this potent stuff for over 4 decades. Those college students back in the day put their knowledge to work and improved the strains. Pretty good job!
In any case, again, this is just a moronic claim, that pot is too potent. Just goofy to put that out there.
Where is it written that thou musteth consumeth thy entire doobie wnen lit?
Consider that very simple question.
I have 99.8% THC extract sitting here next to some good flower. I puff on that on occasion, just a little piece on top of some flower.
One hit stuff. I feel fine for a long while, go off and get creative, and maybe come back later for another puff if I feel like it or maybe not. All up to me, and I'm certainly not driven to smoke it until I pass out and crap all over myself on a sidewalk somewhere in San Francisco.
Just a silly and pointless argument.
That makes sense.
Why is this an issue?
If true, the solution is to take fewer hits, which makes marijuana less expensive.
Moderation has usually been key towards about everything in life. Self control does wonders when applied!
Take a puff or two of my legal homegrown and play harmonica.
In my 70's and notice that there are a lot of pot-free crazy people as well.
But...but...we're an authoritative source. /faux umbrage
the heck is flower
Right, so do we want stoners out there driving around and creating problems?
Hopefully they find away to make pot that doesn’t smell as bad. It stinks up an entire neighborhood when someone smokes some
Noted how loss of full control set in after 2 shots on an empty stomach right before dinner.
Feel fogged up in the attic this morning and lethargic, making me look for an excuse to skip my daily exercise regimen.
Don't remember feeling like this from THC.
