An enraged ex-husband fatally shot his former wife and her new beau inside their million-dollar Long Island home Wednesday night after a bitter divorce battle, officials said.
Daniel Coppola, 50, allegedly blasted the couple — Kelly Coppola, 50, and Kenneth Pohlman, 53 — in their St. James home around 11:45 p.m. while he warned his daughter to sit in his car outside 21 Brasswood Road, according to police.
“The daughter was in the house and he reached out to her and told her to get out of the house,” Detective Lt. Kevin Breyer told reporters.
Daniel Coppola then fled the gruesome scene while the suspicious teen — whom he shared with his ex-wife — grew worried about her mom.

People today think walking out the door makes your marriage dissolved. Husbands and wives are not semi-permanent boyfriends and girlfriends.
Moving in with your new boyfriend doesn’t make you divorced. When you are screwing another man’s wife, you are putting your life at risk.

I’ve always been surprised that this doesn’t happen more often.
The article describes the woman as a man’s estranged wife, and in another sentence as his ex-wife.
I made my comment because the confusion in the article is fairly common.
And he can still hear her complain.
Don’t cheat on your partner, maybe. If you want to end it, just be a grownup and file for divorce. The court would have been heavily, heavily unfairly biased in her favor.

Sorry about that. I don’t know how I saw 2 years at the same time of a break up. He’s not an animal, just a wounded sinner with no wisdom.
He's a monster and currently on suicide watch. Hopefully he'll succeed and his 15 year old daughter can inherit the estate and get on with her life with the help of other family members.
My guess is his “child support” was paying for the extravagance living of his ex. Giving 1/3 of take holm to “care” for a child is ludicrous.
