Every time I swipe Nyquil someone has to come by and check ID. If it’s self-service I should be able to check my own ID.

If I have to self checkout, I expect a discount. I did all the work.

Yes and I’ve had to call over staff before when using them.,

The staff patrol/march around the self-service
area which is now 100% in the one near me (the two or three traditional checkouts are unmanned).

I dont understand why they bother it’s not really saving on labor and customers prefer the traditional checkouts

Yeah but that’s the 60th bottle of Nyquil you’ve bought this month.

I had a horrible cold and drank too much Robitussin during the night. I woke up in a fog, felt dizzy and awful and it took ten minutes of staggering around and washing out my eyse before I looked out the window and discovered that the reason everything looked foggy was because there was a dense fog and that I was halucinating having halucinations. So the stuff is not for sissies. Whatever the effects, it was a whole lot better than the symptoms that caused me to need the vile stuff in the first place. I made a resolution never to have a cold like that again in my life.

I know how you feel, but then again, minors would be able to lie about their age to purchase such items if shoppers were allowed to check their own IDs.

It doesn’t make sense. Why can’t the computer check the ID? It reads credit cards just fine.

You should be able to pay yourself too, and take that money with you.

(By the way, if your ID looks like this one, maybe you shouldn't be able to buy that many cases of Nyquil at one time.)
