You have to scan a card? Big deal. Nothing to get angry about. Even less to take it out on someone else.
It makes you wonder why the heck are people so upset about it?
It’s a membership only store and by definition everyone who goes there has a membership card. What’s the problem with having to show your card? Does it create a long line to just get into the store?
Does anyone have a specific complaint about this policy that somehow makes their lives difficult?

We have a society of entitled brats. They join a store and refuse to follow policy. If they refuse or are nasty, ban them from Costco for life worldwide or at least USA wide.
Isn’t requiring ID somehow racist?
We’ve raised too many generations of babies. Time to buck-up Buttercup for many.
our local costcos are still using human door “checkers” whp kinda pretend like they’re checking your card when you enter ... nonetheless, i wouldn’t particularly object to scanning the card to enter ... after all, you have to scan the card to self-checkout anyway ... i really don’t see what the big deal is, except that WAY too F-ing many people are entitled azzwholes (and i’m talking about the nasty costco customers, not the employees)
