A state of emergency was declared in the Voronezh region of Russia after akamikaze drone strike caused a major blaze at an ammunitions warehouse.
There were several explosions and huge flames for hours after the Ukraine hit in Ostrogozhsk overnight.
At least 200 people were evacuated and two people were injured, one seriously, in the district.
Regional governor Aleksandr Gusev acknowledged there was a ‘detonation of explosive objects’ and claimed the ignition came from the falling debris from a drone.
Russian channels, meanwhile, confirmed that an ammunition warehouse had been struck.
Ukrainian forces are engaged in a long-term campaign of drone strikes aimed at damaging Russia’s military infrastructure and oil industry.
Earlier this week, drones hit ammunition supplies at Marinovka military airfield in the Volgograd region.

That’s a good question. I asked the CHAT-GPT AI:
“If the new Ukrainian OWA-UAVs have no rudder, how do they steer?”
Here’s what it replied:
The new Ukrainian OWA-UAVs, which are striking deep inside Russia, employ various methods for steering despite lacking traditional rudders. Let me share some details about these drones:
1. UJ-22 Airborne: This single-engine drone, with a wingspan of 4.2 meters and a range of 800 km, can carry an internal warhead or air-dropped bombs. It’s one of the largest OWA-UAVs in service.
2. Morok: A sleek OWA-UAV based on the RZ-60 target drone. It has a shorter range of 300 km and a small 3 kg warhead. Morok achieves a respectable speed of 290 kmph.
3. UJ-25 Skyline: Essentially a weaponized version of the
Ukrajet UJ-23 Topaz target drone, the UJ-25 has jet-powered stealthy lines and forward-swept wings. Details are limited, but at least one has been reported in Russia.
4. UJ-26 Beaver: Introduced in 2023, the Beaver has a distinctive canard layout, a range of around 1,000 km, and a 20 kg payload. It’s used to attack Moscow and other Russian targets.
5. Lyutyy: A relatively large UAV resembling the pre-war Antonov AN-BK-1 Horlytsia design. It crashed in Nizhny Novgorod in January 2024.
5. AQ-400 Scythe: A volunteer project in serial production, this box-like fuselage drone has tandem wings and is capable of reaching most of western Russia, including Moscow and Crimea.
These drones use aerodynamic surfaces, thrust vectoring, and other innovative techniques to maneuver effectively without traditional rudders. Their impact in the Russo-Ukrainian War has been significant, reshaping naval drone warfare.
That’s my stance, too.
YES!
And as retired Air Force very much still interested in all things air war wise, I agree.
So I try to read and watch all I can about the use of drones there.
But going on these threads to get truth is almost impossible because of all the childish fighting and insults and bravado that each side employs. And of course, both governments and their allies heavily rely on propaganda that clouds the sight picture completely. Then our media chimes in and there is no bigger group of morons when it comes to the military than the American DNC press.
I have been thinking a lot about how to defeat drones. I need to write a book.
These “drones” are basically sophisticated cruise missiles.🤔
Thank you for clarifying.
I don’t think “closing” the Kerch bridge will save it from being attacked.
As I said, Putin is an evil human being who has no right to invade a foreign country. Period.
Not sure if you claim to be a Christian, but if you do, I would really like for you to justify Putin’s putting thousands and thousands of young men in their graves - for absolutely no rational purpose.
If Russia or China fomented an illegal coup in Mexico, installed a puppet government hostile to this country and trained, funded and armed a 600,000 man army, what we do? INVADE.
The Russians REPEATEDLY sought to avoid this war -- with Minsk accords, by coming to us with their security concerns n December of 2021 and in Turkey in March of 2022, where a peace deal was reached to end the war but killed by Boris Johnson.
Bullsh$t.
Saving the ethnic Russian population in Donetsk and Lugansk from being persecuted and slaughtered by a Ukrainian nationalist/neo-Nazi regime that came to power illegally is FAR BETTER REASON THAN WE HAD TO INVADE IRAQ in the first Iraq war.
That we and NATO fomented an illegal coup, installed a puppet government hostile to Moscow and trained, funded an armed a 600,000 man army IS BETTER REASON FOR INVADING than we had in the second Iraq war.
You're spewing BS.
The latter would be correct.
Ukie Pom Pom Squad (Democrats and Blood Thirsty Neocons Love War)
The deeper Ukies go into Ruzzia, the more likely no Ukie will get out alive.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Speaking of liberal laughingstocks..............
If Russia was concerned about “ethnic Russians” in Donetsk and Lugansk they could have sent their troops there and “secured” those areas and the war would be over. Before the invasion the deaths in those regions were measured in the thousands and most of them were soldiers.
Now those numbers are in the 10s and 100s of thousands and cities Russia claims as theirs are razed.
Reminds me of the guy who tried to remove a bees nest from his house and ended up burning his house done. Job successful bees eliminated/s
Let’s say it was a coup, well apparently only western coups are bad, and Russian “fomented “ cous are just fine
Got it
“Spewing BS” that is rich
