I dont follow college ball at all. So the draft day is always an introction to a million new players every year :)
But I heard college football brings in a lot of bucks.
Don’t know if attendance goes down if you start losing, like in the NFL.
More people should be shutting out journalists.
If a journalist is going to call you every name in the book, why should you play nice with them?
This goes for politics as well as sports.
I like Deion. Throwing out the hatchetmen is a great idea.
It’s a tough decision: do you root for Deion? Or do you root for the journalist?
I don’t think that any coach or athlete should be obligated to talk to anyone in the MSM. If I lose a particularly important game, I don’t want some jackass sticking a microphone in front of my face for an interview.
“Deion thinks the media covering the team should support the program without expressing any criticism or asking any tough questions.”
Who does Deion think he is...? The Democrat Party?
Don’t get into a fight with a man who buys ink by the barrel…old saying that still rings true. The reporter can and most likely will keep writing about Neon Dieon.
I see the two sides as the University and the MSM. The University doesn’t want someone making personal attacks against their employee. How often have University employees in the classrooms and in publications personally attacked someone they disagree with such as Christians, conservatives, scientists who question the official narrative, etc.? The problem is the MSM can’t effectively point out the hypocrisy because they do the same thing, and they are almost always on the same side as the University.
Sounds like Sean Keeler is a little punk who would get his a$$ kicked within side of 2 seconds in an NFL locker room. Good for Deion. The press can dish but can’t take.
Its all just a bunch of who cares...its college football that really doesn’t a\mount to a hill of beans...
Unless Sanders is actually taking a whip to players that mis-tackle, or drop a ball, then local press might want to support their team, you know, rah-rah...and all that stuff.
I mean really, what deep down gritty story is there in a sports ball team? All on RFKjr’s cocaine? That might be a story...all juiced up—another possible entertaining story—otherwise X’s and O’s are a little boring...
There are a ton of independent real journalists. To win this war, the MSM has to be destroyed because they are trying to destroy us.
Sports reporters are all lefty ahoes. Screw the access media.
Most of the main “journalism” has degenerated into bands of lefty political apparatchiks.
So we have the conservative Sanders lambasted by the liberal newspaper. I wouldn’t take it, either.
I have no dog in this hunt, but *IF* Keeler actually did use those phrases listed (which I don’t know for myself), then I’d be with Sanders. There’s a HUGE difference between unnecessary personal attacks like those, and the “any criticism” or “tough questions” that the Denver Post writer Mike Florio has his knickers in a wad over. But I freely admit I have no tolerance for “journalist” bias to begin with.
