We don't know that that was true. It doesn't seem likely. Hitler did have money left him by his parents and was selling painted postcards. Apparently, he didn't like to be touched, so he was unlikely to supplement his income in that way.
Armistice is a good one-hour documentary about the end of the First World War. I was watching it the other night. Ludendorff thought he would get a better cease-fire deal from Woodrow Wilson than from the British or the French, but Wilson demanded not only that the Kaiser step down, but also that Germany become a republic. Maybe it would have been better if it stayed at least nominally a monarchy, since that was what most Germans wanted. A monarch -- the right monarch -- might not have appointed Hitler chancellor.
A plausible theory, could use a bibliography.

As has been pointed out, there have been homosexuals among Hitler‘s followers, but most others were violently opposed to this degeneracy.
Berlin in the 1920s…millions of voters were disgusted with the behavior of the gay scene, which, btw, had existed long before the First War. It had now just become more obvious, having found the interest of journalists who sensationalized a lot of the goings-on in this scene.

Very sorry, but homosexuality cannot be a National Sin in any country. What is true, I would say, is that homosexuals are involved in a lot of societal developments. Though many of them try simply to get on with their lives; but they exist in any country, in any era.
If there were a National fault, then it would be gullibility in my people‘s case. By the way, the same thing is often said about the nations of Scandinavia - a cultural trait which we all have in common. We must be related, after all 😀
