A far cry from “Close Encounters Of The Third Kind”.

How stupid do they think we are?

Fun factoid. Trees grow back, and even big ones can be transplanted if you want for some special locations.

Trees grow back. In past eras, we would even be able to replace a roof on a park building, but that might be a stretch today.

“after clearing more than 200 fallen trees and 5 inches of hail”
Why in the Wide World of Sports did they feel they had to remove five inches of hail?
It is Summer, hail is ice, ice melts.

I saw in back in the 70s. It looks the same now as it did then.
No, rock walls were not taken down nor marred by hail. That’s been going on for millennia. It is slowly weathering but in one human lifetime you will never notice.

Had to read almost to the very end of the article to find out that this is in Wyoming. Modern journalist’s suck.

“Never look the same!”
That is what was said years ago when fires ravaged Yellowstone and Mesa Verde National Parks.
The Yellowstone geysers still spew, and the Mesa Verde ruins are still there.
Now if fire would ravage the Stonewall National Monument in NYC who would really care? Would anyone miss it?
