Sublethal developed the non-lethal remote-control gun that fires standard .68 caliber paintballs with solid nylon bullets or pepper balls.
"The remote gun will not autonomously shoot anyone. The gun is controlled either from a control center or from the user's cellphone. Either way, there is a human who decides when to shoot."

There is no “non lethal” weapon. There are only weapons that are less likely to kill or cripple.
A “non lethal” pellet to the eye can still permanently blind someone, and a blow to the head can kill or cause brain damage.
As long as there are guys with high pain tolerances, I don’t see this as being effective in stopping them. At best, it would be useful in making it easier to identify them, if the paint doesn’t washoff so easily.
The Japanese police use paintballs to make cars more identifiable.
Don’t tell tampon Timmy.
Water cannons. I like water cannons.
I like Soylent Green dozers
I have a rule about people or police shooting paintballs, bean bags, tear gas, or whatever at me when I am on my porch on my property minding my own business. I will return fire. Sadly however I don’t own a paintball gun.
Pretty much what happened with this guy. He was severely beaten, but got a significant settlement.
Man Not Guilty in Self Defense Case Against Police During Minneapolis Riots
In grade school, a girl accidently shot her mother with a bb gun and killed her. Hit at just the right angle.
I wonder if the man was white would he have won the case?

I always thought that filling paint balls with Skunk juice would be pretty effective. And they would not be able to hide without being smelled from a block away.
Anything linked to a cell phone is not secure. Just wait until someone nearby hacks in and has your gun go off at some kiddies.
The correct term is “less lethal.”
Regardless, on my list.
(think “modified”, “copied”, “multiples” and, most importantly, “LETHAL”)
In his case, they fired at him (and hit) with rubber bullets, without being initially identifiable as police.
He returned fire with his CCW pistol, missing, and laid down his pistol when he saw it was police.
I would like it to be recognized law, that cops need to be visibly cops, otherwise can be treated as bandits.
The preferred term in law enforcement is “less lethal”.

You can always pitch paint stained clothing; welts on the other hand cannot be washed off or thrown away, and will stick with you for a couple of days.
"Give me a non-lethal automated paintball / nylon bullet / pepper-ball / beanbag gun."
What do you think?
Script Doctor: Not bad but how about this...
"Give me a plasma rifle in the 40 kilowatt range."
Terminator Screenwriter: You're right, that's better.
—””Give me a plasma rifle in the 40 kilowatt range.””
Sounds like fun but who humps the battery?
Short-range EV batteries are around 40KWh.
Buy the long-range EV with an 80KWh + battery and power it from the car.
With trigger control and careful shot placement... you might be able to roll home slowly. Maybe.
How about, set it on stun, and use the hickory stick to anesthetize the jamoke, That way you can use the AC on the way home.
What about an non automated...gun with paintball/high concentration bear spray/sickening odor marking package...shot at perps who overcome taser...would love to see that used on the out of control drunk Karen’s and Kens, resistant serious traffic offenders, drug dealers, rapists, pedo’s, carjackers and thieves. Once the perps are hand cuffed...Love to see foot shackles.
They need to train cops in wrestling, judo and boxing. Cops trying to engage crazies and drunks and drug addicts with talk seems ridiculous. One “no,I won’t” and one warning from the cop is the most engagement necessary.
Deal with the mental disease, alcoholism and bad attitudes later.
