You’re tripping if you want to visit this tourist hotspot. A Gen Z travel influencer who has ventured to 190 of the world’s 193 countries says Egypt is among the most overrated places on the planet.
Luca Pferdmenges, 22, made the bold claim in an interview with the Daily Mail on Saturday, with the declaration sure to dash the hopes of those who have long dreamed of seeing the pyramids and sailing down the Nile.
The German explorer has racked up 2.9 million TikTok followers and some serious air miles by filming travel videos around the globe, but he won’t be returning to the North African nation in a hurry.

I saw that on a road trip from Virginia to New Hampshire when I was about 19. My reaction: “Really? That’s it?”
I guess I expected it to be bigger or something.
Universal translator, please...
Plymouth Rock is now in a cage.
It’d be even smaller if tourists kept taking “samples”.
“I’ve been to Egypt. It’s an absolute shit hole. And the tourist sites are crawling with thieving, scamming lowlifes.”
You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy:)
I suspect Generation Z’s main requirement is internet access to check for likes and views on a frequent basis.
No iPhone use, no go. Got to have that instant gratification and affirmation.
They cannot cope alone.
My son and his wife just went there on a cruse because Israel was not available. They said the guides were so worried for their safety that they could not leave the bus except for a few short visits like the great pyramid, a market and a museum. There was heavy security everywhere. And no possession was safe. They were happy to get back on the ship.
Plymouth rock is a joke. Its just a rock in Plymouth. Not the rock. But if you are in Plymouth spend a couple of days on the cape. That is interesting. But don’t do it on a long weekend. The New Yorkers are horrible.
My parents went to Israel and Egypt back in the day - early 1980’s I suppose? They were on a tour, but it was pretty loose and they had a lot of time on their own.
One night after dinner heading back to the hotel a procession of Egyptians came down the street. Everyone dressed up, singing, candles maybe? Anyway - a big deal.
My old man decided to see what was going on and he and my mom kept their distance and followed them for blocks, turning here and there until the procession got to a large building and entered.
The singing continued, and then music started to play. My dad crossed the street to take a peek into the window.
Two burly Egyptian men came out of the building and spoke with him. Dad motioned to mom to come across the street to where he was.
The men invited mom and dad into the wedding reception! IIRC dad got to dance with the other men - and/or maybe with the bride? They stayed for quite awhile - maybe the entire party?
Although Dad did catch something on that trip - stomach issues. He was never quite the same after it and had trouble keeping weight on.
“Got to have that instant gratification and affirmation.”

Dopamine helps...
Oh for sure. Dumbest tourist site. I was really disappointed in Plymouth Rock. A waste of time. Egypt is definitely not the worst place I’ve been. It’s interesting in a historical sense.
Sounds like somebody is in de Nile.
Or Cairo practice.
There is no honor among Thebes.
For me the worst place was The Great Wall of China.
They’ve renovated it to the point it doesn’t look old.
I have not been but I have heard many comments like yours.
No need for me to go...My TV is HD and can see what needs to be seen for free without pickpockets, sweat or dung.
One person has an opinion.
If you blindly follow them, they are not an influencer, you are not thinking for yourself.
Appears to be a typical German juggler:

Hey juggler I have been to Germany many times - very over rated socialist place.
You literally could not pay me to go live there. Unless you are speaking 6 digits…
A corrupt, ugly, Islamic hell hole.
The NY Post runs all of these “I’m a.......” stories
I’m a doctor: Here’s what you need to stay hydrated in the heat
I’m a pediatrician: Don’t make this mistake with your children’s health
I’m a dentist: avoid this teeth whitening gimmick
ad nauseum...........
Very young, overrated, trust funder travels the world issuing pronouncements of no import.
The story is that one of the children of one of the original Mayflower passengers, in his later years said his father had told him that that was the first rock they stepped on to get out of the boat launched from the Mayflower when they landed at Plymouth.
The Mayflower passengers first stepped on land in America in Provincetown, at the tip of Cape Cod. It did not go well. Arrows and musket balls were exchanged. They were looking for water and the opportunity to purchase food. Afterwards, they landed further west on Cape Cod, and found some buried corn, took it and left an IOU. A few years later, when relations with the natives had cooled, and they had had some successful harvests, they redeemed the IOU, much to the astonishment of the Indians.
